Elder Lawson's Adventures in Honduras
Heleman 13:4, "And it came to pass that they would not suffer that he should enter into the city; therefore he went and got upon the wall thereof, and stretched forth his hand and cried with a loud voice, and prophesied unto the people whatsoever things the Lord put into his heart."

Getting the Call

The day had finally come.  After months of waiting to submit mission papers and weeks anticipating the arrival of the Mission Call, it had finally come.  Around 4 pm on April 26th 2012 a speedy run to the mailbox brought more satisfaction than a fat man to donuts.  Who knew so much excitement could come from an envelope!

The call was not to be opened until 9pm.  An eternity for a man waiting to find his destiny.  After a surprise delay of 20 more min due to ice skating practice, the time had finally come.

The words were read....

Dear Elder Lawson,

You are hearby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission!

Never had sweeter words been spoken in the Lawson household.  Through the cheers and tears warm embraces were given and smiles didn't cease for the remainder of the night.  I was to become a MISSIONARY.
